Peter Vaudry retires after 33 years

After 33 years with the Alberta Motor Transport Association, Peter Vaudry has retired. In 1985, Peter began his career with the AMTA, and in his recent position as the Director of Member Services and Communications, was responsible for coordinating AMTA’s major events such as the Draw Down Dinners, Conference and AGM and golf tournaments.

He also engaged with our Carrier Members and Associate Suppliers and was the Association’s liaison in keeping them updated and engaged with the AMTA. Peter was always the AMTA’s historical reference and is held in very high regard and admiration for his years of service to the transportation industry in Alberta.

Outside of the AMTA, Peter has a passion for photography and has been featured with National Geographic from time to time.

Congratulations on a great career and have a happy retirement, Peter!

AMTA implements member Job Board
In an effort to enhance its membership program, the AMTA has implemented a job board on its website. This is a page dedicated to linking the public to member companies’ online job posting pages. This is a new initiative for the AMTA, and one that will enhance careers in the transportation industry.

AMTA will also periodically post the Job Board to its social media platforms, as well as use it as a tool to promote careers in the industry at career fairs and other events.

If you are an AMTA Carrier or Associate Supply member and would like to be added to the Job Board, please provide the AMTA with your company logo as well as the link to your employment landing page. Send the information to kelsey.hipkin@amta.ca
