Canada’s century old ban on cannabis ended on October 17, 2018. As of that date, An Act Respecting Cannabis and to Amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code and other Acts came into force.

Nearly 1,600 vehicles removed from roads during unannounced Brake Safety Day
