In their January newsletter, Alberta Government’s Carrier Services announced the retirement of Manager of Investigations Lloyd Blower.

“Lloyd’s unwavering passion for transportation safety and his knowledge and expertise will be missed by both government and industry representatives,” said a Carrier Services statement.

Lloyd spent over 30 years in improving vehicle safety and compliance in Alberta. Among his many achievements, Lloyd played a lead role in developing the foundation for the Carrier Services monitoring and intervention program; took actions to address issues of non-compliance that posed a risk to the motoring public and set the groundwork for improvements to programs aimed at commercial vehicle safety and compliance in Canada.

We wish Lloyd all the best in his retirement.
