The Saskatchewan Trucking Association is pleased to announce that it has sold its subsidiary Highway Agencies Ltd.

o/a HAL Insurance and HAL’s ownership in Canadian Transportation Consultants Inc. (CTCI) as of November 2, 2020 to Henderson Insurance, a Navacord premier Broker Partner in Saskatchewan and a leader in mid-market commercial insurance and risk management.

Highway Agencies Ltd. was founded in 1955 by the Saskatchewan Trucking Association and maintains a proud history of attracting and developing knowledgeable team members focused on delivering expert advice that’s driven by experience. With deep roots in the trucking industry, HAL Insurance will continue to specialize in the transportation sector as well as a wide range of other products including Commercial, Personal, Farm and Sports and Events Insurance.

The HAL business was built in partnership with the STA and we are proud of that history. While HAL Insurance will no longer be owned by the STA, we look forward to maintaining a close and mutually beneficial relationship with Henderson Insurance.

As of November 30, 2020, the STA relocated to a new space at 418A McDonald Street in Regina, SK.

With a new five-year strategic plan under way and continued growth of the Association on our horizon, the Board of Directors and the staff of the Saskatchewan Trucking Association are excited about the opportunities ahead of us.
